30 Days of Face Masks

Day 10 – part 1

Body Drench Australian Red Clay Mask

3 pack – $12.99 from Modern Beauty Supply

Designed to nourish and brighten

This is my “I’m not impressed” face.

I’m not sure if my mask was dried out or if it’s literal clay but it was impossible to work with.

I’m thinking it was dried up, due to the way it looks in the pot.

Hopefully I have more luck with the other two.

Day 9

The Crème Shop – Glow Up, Skin! Unicorn Mask

Infused with rainbow pearl essence, restores dullness to make skin gleam and sparkle.

$7.99 for 3 from Winners

This is terrifying and hilarious. This mask has a unicorn print on it. As a self proclaimed unicorn I had to get this one.

The instructions say that if it tingles it’s working. Not much tingling going on but it did feel hydrating.

20 mins later it feels like a sheet mask. I honestly don’t see much difference in these sheet masks but maybe that’s just me?

Day 8

Masque Bar: Oxygen Bubble Bamboo Charcoal Sheet Mask

Goal: detoxifying

$3.99 at Shoppers

First applied

There’s no smell and it felt like your standard sheet mask. The directions say to leave it on for 15 mins and the bubbles should form. Then to remove it and massage the bubbles in and wash it off.

Well I waited 15 mins. I felt bubbles forming and it looked like this.

I’m clearly not too impressed. I’ve seen pictures and videos online and it was much more impressive.

Skip this one and go with another bubble mask.

Day 7

Still Spa Essentials – Green Tea & Ginger peel off mask

Goal: revitalizing

Spend: $3.99 @ Shoppers

This mask had a slight clinical smell but nothing overwhelming. It had the consistency of honey.

It dripped off my face, which was annoying. It did peel off easy after about 25 min. My skin felt great after.

I love peel masks. I find them so much fun!

Day 6

iN-grediants Coconut Water Cream Mask

Contains: Coconut water, Shea Butter, orange extract

Goal: Moisturizing, refining, smooths

Purchase Details: the standard $3.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart

She thicc

This mask smells ah-may-zing. I don’t like the taste of coconut but I’m a fan of the smell.

This mask applies fantastically. Not runny, not streaky. There’s a lot so go ham, take it down your neck. Do your décolleté (fancy word for your chest).

It’s not drying like a clay mask but feels similar. There was a slight tingle at first but nothing stingy and it went away.

My face feels soft and refreshed after. Thumbs up on this one!

Day 5

Still Spa Essentials – Anti Shadow Cooling Gel Eye Mask

Contains: cooling elements

Goal: reduce shadows and puffiness

Purchase Details: $3.99 at good old Shoppers Drug Mart

Today I decided to take a minor break and test out these under eye masks.

The instructions say to chill for an hour and leave on 30-50 min. That is so nice on a hot day today!

These don’t have a smell and stay in place very well. I know it won’t do anything to my under eye circles as they are a combo of genetics and bone structure. They definitely help with puffiness though! I should keep some of these in my fridge just in case.

30 Days of Face Masks – Day 4

Day 4

Sooae Charcoal Clay Bubble Mask

Contains: Oxygen bubbles

Goal: refreshing pore care

Purchase Details: I had to get this when I saw it at Wal-Mart for $3.99

The bubbles happened so fast! I didn’t expect it. Once I opened the packet the bubbles started forming, then once the mas was on my face it really went nuts!

This mask isn’t as bubbly as the ones you see on Instagram, but it was still really fun. Very mild. No scent. My face feels very clean after, but not tight or itchy. It makes me want to try other bubble masks.
